Why Choose Enhanced Care Psychology Services Victoria?

If you’re looking for a psychologist it’s likely to be a big step for you that you have been thinking about for a while. The goals one brings to counselling can be deeply personal and very important. Knowing this we set out to build with you a supportive therapeutic relationship based on care and compassion. We offer you flexible hours being available nights and weekends with an over the phone, emergency and skype service. We understand the urgency of your case and are driven by best practice to ethically assess your needs. We come to agreement with you of your goals for counselling. We can then make recommendations as to the number of sessions to reach those goals. If the problem would be better handled by a specialist, then a referral will be made. This ensures you receive the best care possible.

The psychological interventions we offer include CBT, Couples Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapies, Solution Focused Interventions, Brief Therapies, Career Counselling, Case Management, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness and Relaxation Therapies. Interventions will be chosen relevant to your presenting issue and will be described before being commenced so you have informed consent in your treatment at all times.

Enhanced Care Psychology’s counselling is informed by the Psychodynamic Perspective. This aims to bring about lasting change. As part of professional practice, at the end of your counselling a report will be offered for your GP and a follow up appointment in 6 months’ time is recommended to support your ongoing progress.
